few new items on the horizon

I want to buy a Magimix. I've had them recommended to me many times, but until this year, I haven't had the space to store the thing. I was given a basket full of cooking apples from a local allotment and I would really like to make an apple pie. The recipe that appeals most is a Nigella, and she's always saying 'pulse it in your foodprocessor'.. which I can't do. Not for long. I've found a few websites, with good prices, so that'll be arriving this week.
I bought some ready-to-roll shortcrust pastry yesterday. Made tomato (also from the allotments) and goat's cheese slices this evening. Dull and dreary. I think shortcrust is best suited to quiches and the like.
